Lhasa Apso or Westie or Corgi or?

Thinking about getting a puppy. We already have a 2 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi that is in DESPERATE need of a playmate, and we are finally ready to get one. He already sheds ALOT so if his new little sister sheds too its no problem. I've been considering either a second Pembroke(it's cute to have a pair), a Lhasa Apso, a Westie, or something else similar. He's all boy, so I'm looking for something a little "girlier", about 15-20 lbs, with medium length to long hair. My choices of Lhasa or Westie sort of show about what I'm wanting. I looked at Havanese but they may be too delicate.

Just looking for anyone with experience with these breeds to give a little imput. Thanks!

This is easy. You are already a corgi owner so you know what to expect with corgi's. We have a 1 year old female who is absolutly the best. We now also have a 4 month old little boy, that came home at Christmas time. The two together are shear entertainment... We too looked at many different breeds in our search for the perfect second dog. And, really can you get any better than a corgi? NOT in our opinion. Good luck, it sounds like you're doing your research, bravo.

I grew up with a Lhasa and he was a very sweet, mellow dog. He lived for 18 years.

I would recommend looking at your Local Corgi, Lhasa, or Westie rescue and see if they have any dogs that would be right for you.

Good luck!

well, i suggest going to breeders of lhasa apso's, westies and corgis and see if one picks you

all those breeds are tough and im sure will get on well with your current dog

i dont really think you should get another corgi as they are very prone to back problems and two might suffer from the same problems and cost double the money. i say go to a shelter to and see if one is looking for a home with a male dog.

gd luck!

If one Corgy sheds then the other one will too. Westies are terriers and terriers can be aggressive, although this might be less of an issue if you get the Westie as a puppy
