I need an Idea for a cute, short Hair Cut! PLEASE?

I have shoulder length, boring, no personality hair right now. My hair is medium thickness. I was attempting to let it grow out, but have become quite bored with it and need a change. I want something exciting that isn't too short. I was thinking bangs? What is in these days? I need something completely hassle free (I usually don't even brush my hair!), but that can also look cute if I do decide to do something with it. I'm student teaching, so it also needs to be professional. Any ideas or suggestions or links or pictures would be greatly appreciated!!! THANK YOU!!!

you should try getting layers and side swept bangs, it's whats in. get an inch cut off, layered, and side swept bangs starting a bit below your eybrow. and when you get tired of your bangs, put it up like my avatar, and another instant cute look(:

Go to google and look at the hairstyles on web sites, OR just simply pop into the hairstylists and look at their books and discuss with THEM, the professionals, as to what will be suitable. It depends on shape of face, hair thickness, bone structure, facial features....and so on!!!
